Earlier this year, singer Shila Amzah and podcaster Ubai Mz confirmed their relationship with the fans and even hinted at their planning to get married in the near future. The lovebirds even spent Raya’s recent vacation together as they happily posed with the singer’s son Seth in an Instagram post.
Everything seemed to be going well for the two over the past few months, but earlier today (Wednesday, May 24), both celebrities shared a post on their respective IG accounts that hinted that they had decided to call it quits.
Shila Amzah posted a photo of her and Ubai together on her Instagram with a caption that read: “Thank you for these 5 wonderful months. You have been a great partner to me, thank you for showing your love to Seth. I wish you nothing but the best and may you be blessed with everything you wished for. Thank you for everything. I will always cherish these memories.
The post sparked some concern among fans who showed support for their relationship. Many asked the mother-of-one to clarify what the caption means as they feared the two had already broken up. Others, however, suggested that there was nothing to worry about since the Asian Wave winner could just be showing her appreciation for her man.
If the singer’s message wasn’t disturbing enough, the 25-year-old public figure also posted on her IG story with affectionate words that read: “I will stay in love with you because no one has made me feel the way you did. Thank you my love.” The background music used for her message was “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri, a love song that was featured in the film “Twilight: Breaking Dawn.”
Just yesterday, the “Selamanya Cinta” singer was seen leaving a cafe with presumably the digital creator, as seen in the screenshot above. At the time of writing, neither Shila nor Ubai have come forward to respond to their confusing messages. Either way, we hope all is well between the two.
Update (Friday, May 26)
During a recent IG live stream, Shila Amzah finally came forward to respond to her cryptic post. The singer clarified that she was simply expressing her appreciation for her lover and that they had not broken up as rumors suggested.
