The Mamee Monster Noodle Snack is more than just a tasty snack that you can find at the convenience store. To some of us, it’s been a huge part of our childhood. Many were saddened when news broke out that the founder, Datuk Pang Chin Hin passed away last November.

The late Mamee-Double Decker (M) Sdn Bhd’s executive chairman left behind an empire to his family and in honour of his legacy, the brand is taking customers back in time with its latest limited edition release and campaign.

As shown in the video posted above, Mamee-Double Decker (M) Sdn Bhd announced that they’re bringing back the original design for the Mamee Monster Noodle Snack packaging which was first introduced back in the early 1970s. “Mamee Monster is now recalling the days when Monster and Datuk Pang Chin Hin enjoyed the snack together and want to share these childhood memories with you all,” the brand wrote.

Speaking to the media, the company’s chief marketing officer How Yuan Yi said that they’re paying tribute to the late creator by launching the Mamee Monster World of Nowstalgia Campaign which includes the limited edition vintage design packaging. “We have the late Datuk Pang to thank for the Malaysian childhood snack that has been spreading joy for decades,” he said.

As part of the nostalgic campaign, the brand prepared a special contest for fans of the iconic snack where exclusive merchandise and a RM200 cash prize are up for grabs.
