A Yemeni man was apprehended in Subang Jaya after reportedly molesting two university students at a cosmetics store. The incident took place on July 6 at a makeup shop in Sunway Pyramid, according to a statement by Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Wan Azlan Wan Mamat on July 8.
The victims, aged 17 and 18, came forward and filed complaints with the Sunway auxiliary police, resulting in the arrest of the 20-year-old unemployed suspect. It was later discovered that the suspect did not possess any identification papers. He has been remanded until July 20.
ACP Wan Azlan stated that the case is being investigated under Section 354 of the Penal Code for using force with the intention to outrage the modesty of the victims.
