PUTRAJAYA: The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) will conduct the Internet Users Survey 2024 (IUS 2024) to understand the evolving behaviours and trends of Internet usage in Malaysia.
The survey is conducted from Oct 1 to Dec 31 and will be conducted online and via telephone interviews.
MCMC in a statement on Tuesday (Oct 1) said the data collected through the online platform is secured using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption, stored locally in a password-protected database and Internet Protocol (IP) addresses are not collected.
“The purpose of this survey is solely for data collection. No personal data, such as full names, credit or debit card information or bank details, will be collected. No money will be solicited, and no sales will be conducted. Participation is voluntary, but the cooperation of the public is greatly appreciated,” MCMC added.
