PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Salleh Said Keruak, the former Sabah chief minister, has called for stronger ties between Muslims and non-Muslims in the state to promote a harmonious society. In his Hari Raya message on Wednesday (April 10), he encouraged the people of Sabah to embrace moderation and shun extremism that could create divisions among them.
Highlighting the multicultural nature of Sabah, he mentioned that the state celebrates various festivals including Hari Raya, Chinese New Year, Christmas, and Pesta Kaamatan. Salleh Said Keruak conveyed his well wishes for Hari Raya Aidilfitri in a TikTok video where he appeared in a new look sporting a mustard-yellow hoodie.
“My family and I send our warm wishes to all those celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri, especially in Kota Belud,” said the former MP for the area. The video featured his message of unity and harmony during the festive season.
