Tragedy struck in Kluang when a young motorcyclist lost his life in the early hours of the morning. The 18-year-old biker lost control of his motorcycle at KM58.5 of the Batu Pahat-Mersing road, according to Kluang OCPD Asst Comm Bahrin Mohd Noh.
The teenager was thrown off his motorcycle and tragically landed on the metal road divider, resulting in his untimely death. ACP Bahrin Mohd Noh emphasized the importance of road safety, particularly during festive seasons, urging all road users to exercise caution and consideration at all times.
The case is currently being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
In response to the incident, the Kluang Fire and Rescue Department promptly sprung into action. Operations commander Nuzul Azroy disclosed that they received a distress call about the accident at 2.28am.
With swift precision, they were able to extricate the victim’s body from the road divider using a circular saw. Despite their efforts, medical officers pronounced the young biker dead at the scene. His body was then handed over to the police for further investigation and necessary procedures.
